The Foundation
The Christopher Addison Robert Gonzales Foundation ( the Foundation ) was established in July 2021 by the surviving parents and brothers of Christopher to honor his memory.
It is a registered 501c corporation and donations are tax deductible.
As a chef, Christopher (aka Chef Gonzo) had a passion for his work. He was inspired by Anthony Bourdain and his book ‘Kitchen Confidential’ was his bible.
The primary mission of the Foundation is the support and promotion of the culinary arts.
Since Christopher was a graduate of the Diablo Valley College (DVC) culinary program, the Foundation will award scholarships to qualified students to attend the DVC culinary school.
On his way home after a work shift, Christopher would have leftover food with him that he would distribute to the homeless that he encountered on his way. He called it ‘Feeding the Streets’. The Foundation will continue this tradition of ‘Feeding the Streets’ by partnering with local food banks and providing food and clothing to the homeless.
